Link in bio for Therapists Who you see, what it costs, and what this page is not.

A therapist link in bio is a practice door: the people you see, the state you are licensed in, the fee, and how to ask for a consult. It is not a session, and it is not a place to send someone who needs help tonight.

I help independent practices explain what they actually do

Writer and advisor in Milan. I sit with architects, editors, and small studios until the work can be said in a sentence a stranger would trust.

Practice

Studio advisory, in writing

Most independent practices do not need a rebrand. They need language that matches the rooms they already make. I work in conversation, then on paper, then — only if it is useful — on the site.

How we begin

A month of interviews and editing. A positioning note you can actually use. Optional: a one-page site, often on SayHi, so the public version stays as quiet as the work.

What a clinical bio has to include

Write these as text you mean. SayHi will not check a license board or route a message to an on-call clinician.

Who you see

Ages, and the concerns you actually treat. The second sentence should say who you refer out. That is how the right person recognizes the practice.

Where you practice

The office address, or the states where telehealth is allowed for your license. “Online” is not a jurisdiction.

Fee and insurance

Private pay, the amount if you publish it, and the panels you are actually on. “Insurance friendly” is not a list.

Request a consult

What the first message should contain, and how soon you reply. The form collects a name, an email, and a message. It is not a chart.

If someone is in crisis

Say the form is not for emergencies. In the United States, name 988 or the local emergency number, in the same block as the consult link.

License line

The license type, the state, and the number if your board expects it in public. Link the board lookup. SayHi does not verify it.

A practice, not a feed

Coaches on SayHi describe a session offer. This page is a licensed practice with a scope and a crisis boundary. Do not merge them.

01

Scope before warmth

A kind sentence that could belong to any clinician is less useful than “adults, OCD, Tuesdays in the office, telehealth in two states.”

02

Money in plain language

If you do not publish fees, say how a person finds out. Do not make the fee a prize for filling out the form.

03

The form is not a session

Say that reading the page does not start treatment. Say when you reply. If you are away, say that too.

988 is not a feature

SayHi does not monitor messages and does not connect to a crisis network. If you practice in the United States, put 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, on the page yourself, next to the consult link. Outside the United States, name the local line.

Templates for this work

Minimal

The words are the practice. Minimal keeps a fee and a license line readable.

Elegant

If the office should feel like a card rather than a document.

What a link in bio is for. The job of the URL is one door. For a practice, that door needs scope and a boundary, which the guide separates from a stack of buttons.

Publish the page

Write who you do not see

Referrals are a service. A page that treats everyone treats no one in particular.

Put the crisis sentence above the form

People in distress do not scroll to a footer. One sentence, the number, then the consult.

Match the license to the states you name

If telehealth stops at a border, the page should say the border.

Questions

Is the contact form a therapy session?

No. It is a way to ask for a consult. Say on the page that a message does not create a treatment relationship and that you do not read it as an emergency line.

What if someone in crisis finds the page?

Tell them the form is the wrong door, and print a crisis number they can use now. In the United States that is 988. SayHi does not staff the form overnight.

Can I take insurance payments here?

No. You can say which plans you bill and link the portal you already use. SayHi does not submit claims or store card numbers.

How is this different from the coach page?

Coaching on SayHi is an offer and a session shape, without a license line. This page is for a clinician: jurisdiction, fee, and a crisis boundary. If you do both, this URL should be the one that matches the license.

Will SayHi check my license number?

No. Link your board’s public search if you want the number to be checkable.

Can I list every specialty I have ever studied?

List the work you want more of and the work you refer. A certificate wall is harder to use than two sentences.
