A link in bio is the URL you are willing to be judged by.
Profiles on social apps ask for a website, or they give you one field that behaves like one. That address is the link in bio. Everything you cannot fit in the profile has to live on the other side of it.
The phrase stuck because the field was scarce. People still use it when they mean “the page I send strangers to.” SayHi treats that page as a small site: a name, a sentence, the latest piece of work, and a few ways onward.
What to put on it
Decide the one thing the tap should see, then add only what supports it.
- Your name and a sentence specific enough that it could not belong to someone else.
- The latest film, post, record, or project. One. The archive can be a link.
- The other profiles, as links, not as the design.
- A way to reply, if you want replies. Email or a contact form. Skip it if you do not.
Creators who need that shape can start from the creator page or the Creator template. Musicians who need the record first should read the musician page instead of forcing a button list to hold a song.
When a stack of buttons is enough
If you truly have five equal destinations and no work to show, a plain list is honest. SayHi is the wrong tool for that, and using it to imitate a list wastes the layout. The product is for people who are tired of the list because the list hides the work.
Rio Hale is a fictional filmmaker. His page is what a bio link can open: the latest piece, then the places he actually posts. It is a demo, not a customer.

Short films about ordinary nights
I walk around with a small camera and wait for the steam, the bus lights, the joke someone almost told. Weekly pieces from Los Angeles kitchens and sidewalks.

Not a vlog. Not a brand. A stack of three-minute films about the part of the day after the work lights go off and before anyone has decided to go home.
More of these are on link in bio examples. The product page is link in bio. If the page needs room for a whole body of work, that is a personal homepage, and the URL can still be the one in your bio.
How to make one
- Claim sayhi.page/yourname.
- Start from the Creator template, or from Rio’s page in the studio, and replace him.
- Put the latest work first. Add social links second.
- Publish, then paste the URL into the website field on the profiles you use.
Platform screens move. This guide does not pretend to be a click-path for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or X. Those change, and a screenshot of a settings panel goes stale. The durable part is the page you control.
Questions
What does link in bio mean?
It is the URL you choose to represent the rest of your work on a profile that asks for a website. The words usually sit near the bio text. The page at that URL is the part that can actually hold your work.
How many links should be on the page?
As many as a stranger can use. A film, a newsletter, and a way to write is often enough. A page of twenty equal buttons asks the visitor to do the editing you skipped.
Is a link in bio a website?
The URL can open a one-page website. It can also open a list of buttons. SayHi is built for the first of those. The link-in-bio product page shows that version.
