Bento website builder: make a bento page that still reads as a page.
A bento page puts projects, pictures, links, and sentences in cards of different sizes on one surface. Modular cards are useful. They become noise when every card is the same size and every size is a button. SayHi’s bento template lets the big piece be big.

Checked 17 October 2026. Requests to bento.me, bento.me/ada, and bento.me/home/bento-sunset each returned HTTP 301 with Location https://linktr.ee. Following bento.me ended at https://linktr.ee/ with HTTP 200. The sunset post is no longer served on bento.me.
Linktree’s 6 June 2023 note says Linktree was acquiring Bento, and that the Bento crew would join on 19 June. It names cofounders Sélim and Mugeeb. Bento’s post of 18 December 2025, by Mugeeb Hassan, Co-founder and CTO, says it had been a bit over two years since Linktree acquired Bento, and that the platform would shut down on 13 February 2026. The post says users would receive an email about moving to Linktree, including a special Linktree Pro offer, and that Linktree was adding features inspired by Bento’s visual layouts, content blocks, and media embeds. It says that after the shutdown, Bento user and profile data would be deleted, pages would redirect to Linktree, and people should export anything they wanted to keep before then.
This note does not claim the Pro offer is still open. It does not claim an old profile URL now opens someone’s Linktree page. The three URLs checked on this date redirected to Linktree’s homepage.
Move your Bento page to SayHi
- Keep a copy if you still have one. Bento’s 18 December 2025 post said to export before 13 February 2026, because user and profile data would be deleted after the shutdown. SayHi cannot open that export.
- Do not paste the old URL into the importer. The page importer does not fetch bento.me. It reads public Linktree, Carrd, and Beacons pages only.
- Open the Bento template. Start at the Bento template, or the same layout in the playground. Every layout is on the templates page. Nia Voss is a fictional example of the Bento grid, not a customer.
- Claim sayhi.page/yourname. Sign up with the Bento template selected. Custom domains are not offered. Publishing a SayHi page does not require a paid plan today. There is no pricing table because billing is not a product yet.
- Rebuild with blocks SayHi has. Name, bio, and portrait. Text. A project card with a title, year, summary, image, and link. Images. Links. Social links for Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, X, TikTok, GitHub, LinkedIn, a website, and email. An email button or a contact form. Switching templates in the studio keeps those blocks.
- Leave out what SayHi does not do. No shop, bookings, or calendar. No custom widgets, and no JavaScript of your own. If the job is a list of links, bento.me now redirects to Linktree’s homepage. The link-in-bio page is the SayHi page for that job.
- Replace the bio link. Put sayhi.page/yourname where the bento.me link used to be. The old host no longer serves the page.

What a bento page is
A bento website is a personal page laid out as a grid of cards, like the compartments of a packed lunch. Each card is one block — a project, an image, a sentence, a link, an email — and each block has a size: small, medium, large, or full width. The sizes are the point. A large card says “look here first.” A small one says “this is context.”
What you can move
The studio adds text, image, project, link, X, Instagram, divider, and spacer, up to 48 blocks. GitHub, YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, email, contact, and a social-links row can be edited when the page you started from already includes them. The block library has no button to create those types. GitHub, YouTube, and Spotify stay cards with a link. They do not embed a player. There is no custom domain and no checkout. This page does not fetch bento.me.

One worked bento layout
This is the order of the live demo above, Nia Voss, a fictional designer in Brooklyn. Copy the order, not the content.
- Small Text. Studio Voss — “A small practice. Brand worlds, objects, and the analog studies that keep both from going glossy.”
- Large Project. Atelier Lumen, 2025. Identity and a cloth-bound brand book for a lighting studio. The still is on the card.
- Large Project. Civic Marks, 2024. A poster series in rust, cream, and charcoal. No slogans.
- Small Project. Lamp No. 4, 2025. Bone glaze, olive foot. One sentence, one picture.
- Small Image. A color study captioned “Color study, August.” A process piece, not a project.
- Large Email. “Start a project,” with the hint “One new identity at a time.”
- Full width Socials. “Elsewhere”: Instagram, the studio link, and email in one row at the bottom.
Two large project cards carry the page. The small cards are supporting material. Contact comes after the work, never before it.
Bento page or link-in-bio stack?
Use a link-in-bio page when your job is to send people elsewhere: a shop, a newsletter, the latest video. Use a bento page when the pieces themselves are the reason to visit and they are not the same size. If you would put six identical cards in the grid, the grid is just a list with padding.
Who it is for
Designers, makers, and anyone whose work is a set of pieces. On a phone, small cards sit two across; large ones take the row. The layout is not a shrunk desktop.

What is a bento website?
A bento page uses a modular grid of cards — different sizes, one surface — rather than a long column of identical links. The name comes from a packed lunch: compartments, not a pile.
Is this a Bento.me clone?
No. SayHi is its own product. The bento template is one of eight layouts, and it is designed around your structured profile data, not a copy of another editor.
Is a bento page the same as a link-in-bio page?
No. A link-in-bio page is a column of buttons that send people somewhere else. A bento page keeps the work on the page: a project card has a picture, a year, and a sentence, so a visitor can judge it without leaving.
How many cards should a bento page have?
Fewer than you think. The worked example above has seven blocks, and two of them are ways to reach her. If every card is the same size, you do not need a grid; use a simpler template.
