Personal website

A one-page site with a point of view.

Fast enough to finish in an evening. Designed enough that you would put it on a business card. That is the whole product.

Languages, tools, and the notes between them

I design small languages and the CLIs that keep them honest. Currently at Harbor Labs, previously on the typechecker for a research notebook that got out of hand in the best way.

Now

Building Ink, a typed notebook format for people who write with code sitting next to the sentence. Harbor is the CLI around it — evals, snapshots, and a boringly reliable local workflow.

Occasional notes on type systems that stay out of the way, local-first tools, and why most developer portfolios look like résumé PDFs with extra steps.

Why people still want a personal website

Social profiles expire with the app. A personal page is the one URL you can keep: work, writing, a way to write back. Traditional builders assume you want pages, plugins, and a theme store. Most people want a public room.

SayHi models the page as structured blocks — text, projects, GitHub, images — rendered as HTML, not as a client-only app. Search engines and in-app browsers see the same thing you do.

How it works

  1. Claim a name on sayhi.page.
  2. Start from a template that already has bones.
  3. Replace the work with yours. Publish.

Is this a full website builder?

No. SayHi is a one-page personal site with structured blocks. It is closer to a designed public identity than to WordPress or a marketing CMS.

Can I use my own domain later?

Custom domains are a planned paid path using Cloudflare for SaaS. The public URL today is sayhi.page/yourname, which is the product even after domains exist.
