Link in bio for Nonprofits One program, a way to give you already run, and a person who answers.

A nonprofit link in bio is for a small organization, or for the person who raises money for one. A new visitor should understand a single program, find the donation processor you already use, and see how to volunteer. It is not a second website with a menu no one maintains.

Languages, tools, and the notes between them

I design small languages and the CLIs that keep them honest. Currently at Harbor Labs, previously on the typechecker for a research notebook that got out of hand in the best way.

San Francisco

Now

Building Ink, a typed notebook format for people who write with code sitting next to the sentence. Harbor is the CLI around it — evals, snapshots, and a boringly reliable local workflow.

GitHub

harbor-labs/ink

A typed notebook format. Prose, code, and tests in one file that still diffs like a human wrote it.

The CLI for Ink: run, snapshot, and compare notebooks without standing up a service.

Writing

Occasional notes on type systems that stay out of the way, local-first tools, and why most developer portfolios look like résumé PDFs with extra steps.

Work with me

Tell me about the project. I read every note.

The links a first visit can use

If you already have a full site, this page is the door a social profile can hold. Link the site. Do not paste it.

The program

One. Who it serves, what happens, and where. A second program can be a link labeled The rest of the work.

Give

The processor you already use. Say what the gift supports in a sentence. SayHi does not take donations, issue receipts, or store card numbers.

Volunteer

The next shift or the role you actually need. “We love volunteers” with no date is a dead end.

A short story

One example you have permission to tell. No last names of clients unless they asked to be public.

The numbers

Link the annual report or the public 990 if you file one. A percentage with no source does not belong on the page.

Small enough to finish

Alex’s demo is a developer. Minimal is the right layout for a few true sentences. Delete the projects and write the program.

01

One program in the first screen

A visitor from a post came for the thing you just described. The about-us history can wait.

02

The gift goes somewhere else

Name the processor. Say whether the gift is restricted to the program or general support.

03

A person, not a logo

Who answers, and how soon. A page with no human on it feels like a poster.

Not a donation platform

SayHi will not receipt a gift or tell you if someone is a major donor. The contact form is a message. The money link has to be a tool your board already approved.

Templates for this work

Minimal

A few sentences and two doors: give, volunteer. Start here.

Creator

If the tap is from a phone and the latest story should sit on top.

What a link in bio is for. One URL has to carry the program. The guide explains that job. This page is the version with a gift and a shift.

Publish the page

Choose the program the post was about

Match the page to the campaign you are actually running.

Link the processor by name

People trust a gift more when they can see it leaves for a known checkout.

Get permission for the story

A public page is not an internal case note. If you cannot tell it without identifying someone, tell a different fact.

Questions

Can donors give on SayHi?

No. Link the processor your organization uses. The page can say what the gift supports. It cannot charge a card or email a receipt.

Is this a full nonprofit website?

It is one public page. Staff directories, grant portals, and newsrooms stay where they are. Link them.

What should a fundraiser’s personal bio include?

Your name, the program you are asking for, and the same gift link the organization uses. Do not invent a second way to pay you directly.

Can I post client photos?

Only with the permission your organization already requires. When that is unclear, use the work and not the face.

How do volunteers sign up?

Link the shift tool or write the next date and the address. SayHi does not track hours or background checks.
