A personal page next to a YouTube channel.
YouTube supports multiple channel profile links. A personal website is not there to add another slot. It is there to add context the channel does not.
Interface labels move. Checked 2026-09-24. Follow the field, not an old screenshot.
Link count is not the reason
YouTube already gives creators multiple outgoing links. Do not paste a different bio tool into every slot if they all open the same list.
The reason to use a personal page is context: featured work, a start-here note, a sponsor or contact path, selected projects, and an identity that exists outside YouTube.
What a channel website should add
The visitor can already press play on YouTube. The page should orient them.
- One featured video, as a YouTube block: a title and a link. SayHi does not embed the player.
- A sentence about the channel that is more specific than the niche label.
- Other places you actually are, including the ones a sponsor would need.
- Contact, if you take work. A playlist archive can be a single link.
Editorial, not a button wall
Julian’s demo is a filmmaker page. The order is the argument: the work, then the context. That is a better channel website than twelve identical buttons under a subscribe gif.

Julian Adeyemi
Narrative films and the quiet labor behind them
Director and cinematographer. I make fiction that still has dust in it, and documentaries about second jobs. London, with long stretches on the road.

Harbor Light
2024
A 22-minute fiction about a night ferry that does not quite make the other side on time. Shot on 16mm. Premiered at a regional festival that still prints programs.

Second Shift
in progress
A documentary about people who lock one workplace and open another before dawn. Interviews, then the drive home.

I am not interested in glossy darkness. The studio look here is about remaining quiet enough that a face still has somewhere to sit.
