Beacons

A Beacons alternative when you are not opening a shop.

Beacons is a creator bio product. People use bio tools in that family for links, media kits, and selling. SayHi does not run a store. It is a personal page for the work and a way to be contacted.

Stay on Beacons if the bio page is a storefront or a media kit. Use SayHi if the visitor should see the work first and write to you, not check out.

Songs for rooms that still have the lights on

Guitar, voice, and a four-track that has heard every version of Late Light. Osaka-born, currently writing in rented kitchens between tours that are still small enough to pack in a car.

A few rooms

Oct 3 — Room 8, Osaka. Oct 18 — a bookshop in Kyoto that still lets you play after closing. Nov 2 — a kitchen show in Shimokitazawa, twelve people if we are lucky.

How they differ

Positioning checked 2026-09-24. Features and prices change. This table avoids numbers SayHi cannot keep current. Beacons remains a reasonable choice for the cases below.

Page design

A creator bio layout, often built around offers and links.

A personal page. Music, film, and project blocks can lead. There is no storefront theme.

Link in bio

A primary use. One URL, many destinations, sometimes products.

One URL. Destinations are links under the work, not a catalog.

Personal website

Possible, inside a creator-commerce product.

The page is the site. No checkout.

Portfolio

Media kits and featured posts can stand in for a portfolio.

Portfolio blocks and templates. No media-kit generator.

SEO and indexability

Check their current public pages. Do not assume a bio tool is indexed like a site.

Public profiles that pass the quality gate can be indexed. Thin pages stay noindex.

Customization

Their themes and blocks, including commerce if you use it.

Templates and content blocks. No payments, invoices, or digital goods.

Analytics

Creator analytics are part of why people pick a bio platform. Confirm the current set.

Optional first-party visitor insights live in the dashboard. This is not an ads or marketing suite.

Custom domain

Often offered on bio platforms. Check before you switch.

Custom domains are not offered. The public address is sayhi.page/yourname.

Creator use

Selling, a kit for sponsors, and a link list.

A record, a film, a commission note, and a contact path. Sponsors get a link, not a store.

Price

A free plan is commonly available, and paid plans exist. Check their current pricing. This page does not copy numbers that go stale.

Publishing a SayHi page does not require a paid plan today. There is no pricing table because billing is not a product yet.

Ownership

The audience relationship may sit inside their store and email tools.

You keep the words on a page you can export as JSON. SayHi does not hold a customer list for you.

Why people move

You are not selling from the bio

A shop in the link is the wrong first screen if the work is a song, a film, or a portfolio.

Sponsors need a page, not a kit template

A clear page with the work and an email is enough for many people. A media kit is a different document.

The latest piece should lead

Sora’s demo puts the music first. That is the shape this page is arguing for.

Who should keep using Beacons

You sell from the link

Sessions, downloads, or merch checkout are not SayHi features. If that is the business, keep the tool that does it.

You need a media kit

SayHi will not assemble rates, demographics, and a PDF. Stay where that exists.

Your sponsors already have the Beacons URL

Changing the address is a real cost. Do it when the page is wrong, not because a comparison told you to.

Paste the public URL

The importer reads public HTML only. It does not sign in, and it will not follow a URL that points at your machine or a private network.

Questions

Does SayHi have a store?

No. Link to a shop if you have one. The page itself does not take payment.

Is Beacons a bad product?

No. It is a different job. Creator commerce and media kits are useful. They are not what SayHi is for.

Where do musicians start?

The musician audience page and the Musician template. This comparison only explains the fork in the road.
