Link in bio for Accountants The work you will take, the season’s hours, and what to bring.

An accountant link in bio is a scope and a calendar. Tax, bookkeeping, or both; the entities you will touch; the months you answer slowly; and what a new client should gather before the first meeting. It is not a filed return and not a tip column.

I help independent practices explain what they actually do

Writer and advisor in Milan. I sit with architects, editors, and small studios until the work can be said in a sentence a stranger would trust.

Milan

Practice

Studio advisory, in writing

Most independent practices do not need a rebrand. They need language that matches the rooms they already make. I work in conversation, then on paper, then — only if it is useful — on the site.

How we begin

A month of interviews and editing. A positioning note you can actually use. Optional: a one-page site, often on SayHi, so the public version stays as quiet as the work.

Scope before personality

A pleasant portrait does not say whether you will touch a partnership or a sole prop.

The work you will take

Individual tax, a small shop’s books, a specific entity type. Name one you refuse. “Full-service accounting” is how mismatched clients arrive.

Season hours

When you stop taking new returns, and how fast email moves in March. A page that looks equally open in April creates angry notes.

What to bring

Last year’s return, the access to the bookkeeping file, the letters they are worried about. A list, so the first meeting is not a scavenger hunt.

The portal

Where existing clients upload. New people should see that the door is not this public form.

Where you file

The countries or states. If you will not sign a return in a place, say the place.

A season is a fact

Lawyers have a bar card and conflicts. Consultants have a commercial engagement. You have a scope, a calendar, and a portal that already exists.

01

Entity types in words

Sole prop, partnership, a household. If you do not prepare that return, the page should not welcome it.

02

March is allowed to look closed

“Now booking fall clean-up” is more useful in April than a smiling “let’s chat.”

03

No advice in the tips

A public page is a bad place for a deduction hint. Describe the service. The advice starts when you are engaged.

Sending a message is not an engagement

Say that near the form. A reader should not think a question about their notice has been answered because they typed it into a bio. SayHi does not prepare or file returns.

Templates for this work

Elegant

A practice card with room for scope and season. The accountant demo uses it.

Minimal

If you want the page to look like a short letter rather than a studio.

LinkedIn personal website. Referral partners already have the job history. The guide is the website field opening a page about scope, not a copied résumé.

Publish the page

Name the returns you want

Stop at the edge of your competence. The page is advertising. Treat it as carefully as a letter.

Publish the seasonal pause

The date you stop accepting new work, and when the inbox wakes up.

Point clients at the portal

Documents do not belong in the public form. Say the name of the system.

Questions

Can a client upload tax documents here?

No. Link the portal. The public message is not a secure cabinet, and it should say so.

Does the page give tax advice?

It should not. Describe who you serve and how to start. Advice belongs in an engagement, under the rules of your credential and your jurisdiction.

How is this different from the consultant page?

Consultants describe a project and case notes. This page is a compliance calendar: entities, season, and a document list.

Should I list a CPA number?

If your jurisdiction expects it in advertising, type it and link the board lookup. SayHi does not verify credentials.

What if I only do bookkeeping?

Say that, and say you do not sign returns. A page that mumbles “accounting services” will attract the return you do not prepare.
