Link in bio for Filmmakers The film, where it screened, and how to write about the next one.

A filmmaker link in bio is a screening note: the film, the festivals or rooms that showed it, a few stills, and a way to ask about the next project. It is not a wedding package and not a channel trailer from three years ago.

Portrait of Julian Adeyemi

Julian Adeyemi

Narrative films and the quiet labor behind them

Director and cinematographer. I make fiction that still has dust in it, and documentaries about second jobs. London, with long stretches on the road.

Coastal cliffs in low light, a still from Harbor Light

Harbor Light

2024

A 22-minute fiction about a night ferry that does not quite make the other side on time. Shot on 16mm. Premiered at a regional festival that still prints programs.

Second Shift

in progress

A documentary about people who lock one workplace and open another before dawn. Interviews, then the drive home.

On looking

I am not interested in glossy darkness. The studio look here is about remaining quiet enough that a face still has somewhere to sit.

DeskFestivals, commissions, and the next road.

What a screening page holds

Julian is the fictional filmmaker already attached to Studio. The stills are his demo frames. Treat them as the shape, then replace them.

The film

Title, year, and one sentence that is not the logline’s adjective pile. A YouTube block can open the trailer. It will not play it in place.

Screenings

Festival, city, date, or “available for classrooms.” Past dates should read as past. There is no ticketing integration.

Stills

A few frames, with a photographer credit if someone else shot them. Upload the files in the studio.

What you are shooting next

A status: writing, financing, in the can. Producers can tell a live project from a wish.

Write about a screening

Who should write: a programmer, a journalist, a classroom. Give them the fact they need, not a generic contact void.

One film is a point of view

Videographers are selling a package. You are showing a work. If you do both for money, do not let the package bury the film on this URL.

01

Title before the mood

People who saw a still need the name of the film and whether they can watch it.

02

Screenings as a list you edit

Three lines. The festival laurels as a picture row are harder to read and go stale.

03

The next project is a status

“Always creating” is not a status. “Cutting a short, picture lock in June” is.

Hired coverage versus a film

Videographers

A reel cut to win a job, hours, and a delivery promise.

Filmmakers

A finished film, the rooms that showed it, and the next one.

Templates for this work

Studio

Julian’s layout. Dark, stills, and a trailer link.

Editorial

If the film is told as a short essay with frames beside the words.

YouTube link in bio. Trailers live on YouTube. The guide is a featured video as a link, which is the trailer block on this page.

Publish the page

Lead with the film you want seen

The older work can be a line under the screenings.

Credit stills

If you did not shoot them, the caption should say who did.

Give programmers a fact

Runtime, language, and whether a screener exists. Put that next to the write-to-me line.

Questions

Can viewers rent the film here?

No. Link the distributor, the festival page, or the trailer. SayHi does not stream or sell tickets.

How is this different from a videographer bio?

That page is a client reel and a package. This one is a film and its screenings. A wedding price list does not belong at the top.

Should every festival logo be on the page?

Name the ones that matter in a list. A laurels collage is hard to read and usually out of date.

Can I post a private screener link?

Only if you accept that a public page makes it public. Prefer writing “screener on request” and sending it yourself.

Is Julian a real filmmaker?

No. He is the fictional Studio demo. Use his layout, then replace the name, the film, and the frames.
