Most independent practices do not need a rebrand. They need language that matches the rooms they already make. I work in conversation, then on paper, then — only if it is useful — on the site.

How we begin

A month of interviews and editing. A positioning note you can actually use. Optional: a one-page site, often on SayHi, so the public version stays as quiet as the work.

The sentence is the design

If the headline could sit on any writer’s page, it is still empty. Elena’s line is about practices that cannot explain themselves. Yours should be that specific about the work.

What to put on the reading page

Elena is a fictional advisor. Her blocks are prose. Writers can use that order for a book and a few pieces, then delete the studio language.

The book, or the piece, first

A project block with the title, the year, and one sentence that is not the blurb’s first clause copied twice.

Selected essays

Links with the publication in the hint. Three to seven. The monthly archive is a link, not the page.

The newsletter as a destination

One link. Say what it is about. SayHi does not send mail.

A short list of conversations, then email if you want more of them. Skip the form if you do not.

Is this a blog?

No. It can link to essays. It does not host a publishing calendar or comments.

Why does the demo talk about studios?

Elena’s copy is hers. Use the layout and replace the sentences. The writer page is the brief. Her text is not a writing sample you should keep.

Can I collect emails here?

Link to the newsletter tool you already use. SayHi does not run a list.
