Link in bio for Dancers The reel, the company or the lack of one, and the class.

A dancer link in bio is a reel plus a status: company member, freelance, or teacher. Choreographers and casting need the reel and whether you are free. Students need the class. Those are different first lines.

Portrait of Rio Hale on a city street at golden hour

Rio Hale

Short films about ordinary nights

I walk around with a small camera and wait for the steam, the bus lights, the joke someone almost told. Weekly pieces from Los Angeles kitchens and sidewalks.

What this is

Not a vlog. Not a brand. A stack of three-minute films about the part of the day after the work lights go off and before anyone has decided to go home.

Say hiCollabs if the night is interesting.

Reel, status, class

If you do not teach, omit the class. An empty “take class with me” reads as neglect.

Reel

One cut, recent, with your name on it if the company reel otherwise hides you. Link the video. It will not embed.

Company or freelance

The company and the rank, or “freelance, based in this city.” Casting should not have to infer it from a caption.

Class

Style, level, day, and studio, only if you teach. Link the studio’s sign-up rather than inventing a second roster.

Audition

If you are hiring, say the date and who may attend. If you are looking, say the kinds of work you want. Do not mix those two sentences.

Availability

A season you are on contract is not “open for projects.” Write the window honestly.

Casting and students read different lines

Yoga pages list a weekly class style. Your class, if you have one, is secondary to the reel unless teaching is the whole job.

The reel shows you

If you are in the corps for eight counts, do not use a solo that is someone else. Label your entrance if the cut is a group.

Status before aesthetic

Company, freelance, or teacher. The aesthetic is the reel.

Injuries stay off the public page

Availability can be a season. A diagnosis is not a bio line.

Credit the choreographer

A reel that uses someone’s work should name them. The page is a public credit, not only a calling card.

Templates for this work

Creator

The reel is watched from a phone. Creator is the width for that.

Studio

If a few stills and a darker page fit the work better than a social stack.

Instagram link in bio. Reels already circulate there. The guide is the page behind the grid, which for dancers should name company or freelance.

Publish the page

Cut the reel to the work you want next

A classical excerpt will not win a commercial, and the reverse is also true.

Write the status in the first sentence

Company and rank, or the city you freelance in.

Add a class only with a time

“I teach” without a studio and a day is a promise you will answer in messages forever.

Questions

Can students pay for class here?

No. Link the studio. The page can list the day and the level.

How is a dancer page different from a yoga page?

Yoga instructors are publishing a class style and a weekly schedule as the product. This page leads with a performance reel and a company or freelance status.

Should I include my height and other stats?

Only if the work you want asks for them and you are comfortable with that on a public URL. They are not required for the page to function.

Can I post a rehearsal someone else filmed?

Only with their permission and the choreographer’s. Upload the file. A link to someone else’s private story will die.

What if I am between companies?

Say freelance and the city. “Currently unrepresented by a building” is a status. Leaving the old company up is not.
